What Qualifies for Vehicle Donations?
Many people may be considering the option of donating their vehicles for a charitable cause, but they may be unclear as to what qualifies for vehicle donations, including what types of vehicles and what condition the vehicle should be for donation. First of all, there are a number of different vehicles which are accepted that fall outside of the car or truck categories. Boats (on a trailer), motor homes, motorcycles, farm equipment, and recreational vehicles are all accepted.
Furthermore, almost all vehicles that have an engine and are towable will qualify for vehicle donations. Although the qualifications will vary depending on the vehicle and the condition of the vehicle, any vehicles that you are the legal title holder of is considered for donation. Once accepted for donation, your vehicle will be towed by a driver and sold at an auction with the funds donated to your choice of charity.
